  7. NAMS II is a complete turnkey system for the telecommunications industry that
  8. connects to the telco's central office and peripheral devices such as D.A.C.s,
  9. intelligent A.R.C.A.N., fiber mux, etc. NAMS collects and centralizes alarm
  10. reporting and provides interactive communications with the connected central
  11. office devices. NAMS collects traffic data from the Stromberg-Carlson D.C.O.
  12. hourly and generates reports from the raw data. These reports consist of
  13. busyhour studies, traffic usage by trunk groups, engineering reports on trunk
  14. groups, and office measurements. NAMS generates error reports on all connected
  15. central office devices daily. NAMS collects C.D.R. (Call Detail Records) on an
  16. X.25 link to the Stromberg-Carlson DCD. NAMS provides call search on the call
  17. records collected. NAMS maintains a database of Central Office Plant Records
  18. containing circuit ID's, equipment locations, cable assignments, etc. NAMS
  19. contains a full-featured work order system for outside plant to maintain
  20. dialers and work requests. The databases are maintained under the Foxbase
  21. R.T.S. NAMS provides for remote polling of C.D.R. NAMS also provides an
  22. effective means to prevent fraud on a private or public telecommunications
  23. network. Automated voice alarming provided by NAMS can voice announce problems
  24. on the network or with any device on the network.
